Simply translated, Kokedama means “Moss Ball” which is basically a ball of Soil covered with Moss, on which an ornamental plant grows. They are also referred to as String gardens wherein they can be hung with a string or alternatively can sit in a shallow dish, adding to the beauty of window or tabletop.
We make each piece by hand choosing from a vast collection of plants suitable for Kokedama.
The plant in picture is ficus compacta plant, a part of the ficus family.
