Simply translated, Kokedama means “Moss Ball” which is basically a ball of Soil covered with Moss, on which an ornamental plant grows. They are also referred to as String gardens wherein they can be hung with a string or alternatively can sit in a shallow dish, adding to the beauty of window or tabletop.
We make each piece by hand choosing from a vast collection of plants suitable for Kokedama.
The plant in picture is golden pothos. This is an ideal beginner’s plant that gives impressive results with very little work from you. It’s extremely versatile and fantastic hanging plant, looks great on a shelf or can even be trained up a wall.
